Kellyanne, Husband Disagree on Trump's Mental Health

Newser — Evann Gastaldo

Kellyanne Conway's husband George, a frequent critic of his wife's employer, suggested Monday that President Trump has a mental disorder. Not so, the top White House counselor told reporters upon her arrival at work.

"No, I don't share those concerns," she said, per Politico and CNN, adding that she "may not be up to speed on all of" her husband's tweets because "I have four kids and I was getting them out of the house this morning before I got here so I can talk to the president about substance." In the series of tweets in question, George Conway tweeted a picture of the cover of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, plus the pages describing narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder.

Conway, an attorney, added in separate tweets that "*all* Americans should be thinking seriously *now* about Trump’s mental condition and psychological state" and that Trump's "condition is getting worse." His tweets came after Trump's own flurry of tweets including threatening a federal probe into Saturday Night Live for making fun of him, calling on Fox News to bring back "Judge Jeanine" after her show was pulled due to controversial comments about Rep.

Ilhan Omar's hijab, defending Tucker Carlson amid his audio scandal, and attacking late Sen. John McCain. CNN called Sunday Trump's "craziest Twitter day ever," noting that he sent out 29 tweets and retweets.

(Trump has referred to George as "Mr. Kellyanne Conway.")
